Subaru trucks have been called the “most versatile” trucks ever made. The mini Subaru trucks are equipped with a rear engine model, and if you are thinking of getting Japanese used trucks for sale, the rear engine placement means you have a more even distribution of weight. Most other Japanese used trucks for sale have a mid-engine which means you not only feel the heat, you could end up with a bouncy rear or ride.

One fact that is apparent for future trucks on the road will be the role technology will play. You will notice that aside from weight distribution, load, fuel efficiency, and price, IT will be very important.

Already there are efforts to introduce technology to prevent road accidents and deaths from vehicular collisions. The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute headed by Dr. Thomas Dingus says that the government is looking for ways to improve road fatality statistics through radar-based warning systems and a software that can monitor drowsiness in drivers.

He says, These (technologies) are rapidly moving into a semi-automated state, if you will, where the vehicle can help the driver either avoid or mitigate a crash through automated braking, stability, control, and even in some cases … the vehicle will help you steer to avoid an obstacle….”

For now, the technologies are being prepared for high end units because they will sell. As soon as the systems go down in pricing, they will be available for mid range vehicles. Trucks could have the technology because there are companies willing to spend on protecting their cargo. Presumably, their cargo will be worth a lot of money and the cost of the system in their trucks will only be a one-time expense.

Vehicles will also be equipped with new technology for their GPS system that will allow them to communicate – car to car using short range radio frequencies. The premise being that both cars have compatible systems. This concept is being called “connecting vehicles.”

The chances of Subaru or any other Japanese truck brands getting the system being developed in the U.S. is highly probable. At this point, it makes for an exciting point in the development of the truck and the automotive industry as a whole.

And counting what with the growth of China last year to 78 million registered cars and the US with over 240 million. This is going to turn the current oil crisis to a new critical level that appears to be a case of trying to catch up with very little chance of success. Basically, the oil crisis is that oil is a non-renewal resource. Demand is growing and prices, even though sky high is not causing a considerable decrease in demand for fuel.

The United States has begun implementing measures that would reduce weight of vehicles and increase lighter materials to improve fuel efficiency. Of course, it could mean a few drops more in the bucket and we are getting close to the point where every drop counts. Still, the US is just one country and for anything to be effective, all countries should be involved.

Japan has taken steps to converting to hybrid cars or fuel alternatives, but right now, these cars are too expensive for the salaried and small businesses. The fear then is that in 15 years, we will be in a position to not have enough oil except for the rich and big businesses.

This will turn economies and countries to level of poverty and depression never before seen. What can one person do to help?

Just like ever drop counts, every driver or passenger counts. Use bikes or walk for short distances. Get a lower mileage car and sacrifice looks for fuel efficiency. You can also save up for electric bikes or scooters. The bottom line is people have to start caring for everyone, not just themselves. Right now, there is concern but it’s the kind of concern that’s objective. Maybe you can afford to fill up your tank anytime. Maybe you are in a position to drive instead of take the bus, train, or walk. Maybe you see nothing wrong with running your car on idle as your passenger runs in to buy something at the store. All these maybes convert in an attitude of, “ Sure, I’ll contribute but don’t make me change my lifestyle because I can afford it.”

Alas, it’s a frame of mind that seen in every society, culture, country in the world. The sad part is that most of these people are in a position to influence others. But they’d rather say it than do it.

One thing about how to buy Japan used cars is to know about shipping the car outside of Japan, the transportation cost and the documents needed during the transport. There about 1.4 million used vehicles were exported from Japan in 2006. If you wish to have your buy Japan used cars, you should the following ways and requirements about shipping your car to your country.

We will discuss some tips on how to ship your car from Japan that have been proven helpful to most Japnese car importers:

The exporting firm must be an approved member of Export Associations. See to it that your used car exporter is an approved member of Japan Used Motor Vehicle Exporter Association (JUMVEA). JUMVEA is the only export association approved by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in Japan. Once your exporter is a member of JUMVEA, you are assured that your exporting firm can be trusted.

Know Japan Trade Laws. Being a citizen outside of Japan, you have to know the governing laws on trade and commerce in Japan. The documentation requirements for importation are provided under these laws.

Get Company Registration Details or “Tohon”. This relates to number 1 and 2. You have to make sure that the Japanese car exporter in Japan is registered with the concerned authority that regulates used car import and export in Japan. Check if it has the required documents or “Tohon” in Japanese language.

Get Details of Delivery Options. Get the details of the company that will ship the car, check the company’s physical address, the number of years of existence, and the details of the cost of the shipment. You have to make sure that all information are true and correct.

After the shipment was made the following documents will be mailed to you through an international courier: 1) Original Bill of Lading (B/L) x 2 sheets; 2) Invoice x 1 sheet; 3) Car certificate (Japanese) x 1 sheet ; and 4) Car certificate (English) x 1 sheet.

These tips are not exclusive. T here are other things to consider in making the shipment which is not included herein. However, these tips are sufficient enough to make sure your dream car is properly shipped. Shipping cars from Japan may take about 3 to 5 weeks after the car leaves Japan’s port.

The Subaru Mini truck and the Mitsubishi Canter are both trucks that are tough, durable and are meant to last long. The Mitsubishi Canter, in particular, can carry very heavy payloads, well in excess of its capacity also. The Subaru mini truck too has a very high overload capacity. But if one is looking to buy either a used Subaru mini truck or a used Mitsubishi Canter, then it is necessary to delve deeper and compare their specifications.

Subaru Mini Truck

The Mitsubishi Canter is a two-passenger pick type of truck, but the driver cabin can be made single or double cab. It can be of 2 tons, 3 tons as well as 7.5 tons and some intermediate sizes also. The 3.5 ton variant can carry payloads of up to 1.5 tons, while the 7.5 version can withstand loads of 4.9 tons. The engines are very powerful, with torques varying from 295 Nm at 1800 rpm to 412 Nm at 1600 rpm for different capacities e.g. 3 liter, 3.9 liter etc. Additional specifications include RHD steering, manual transmission, 2 wheel drive and a 3600 Horsepower engine. It gives great steering maneuverability as well, but its greatest advantage is that it runs extremely well with reasonable pick up even at inclines or slopes while carrying full capacity loads.

Mitsubishi Canter

The Subaru mini truck is economical, as it gives 28 MPG fuel economy on the highway. It has 2.5L H4 engine. It is also used as a pickup truck, and like the Canter, the used Subaru mini truck can be used for other purposes like flatbed truck, box van, delivery and dump truck etc. It uses a multi-point fuel injection system. It has a 16.9 gallon unleaded fuel tank. It gives a power of 123 kW and 165 HP SAE at 5600 rpm and 225 Nm at 4000 rpm. It has power locks, power windows and plenty of safety mechanisms in place as well.

You could easily find a Japan used car exporter and let them tell you why you should buy a used Subaru from them, but before you do that, please read this article and be informed about the extended benefits of the great Japanese car, the Subaru.

“Subaru” – meaning unite – is a union of five Japanese companies forming Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd- the parent company of Subaru. Subaru is world famous for its Boxer Engines that deliver improved performance as they are vibration free.

Strengths

- Good fuel economy.
- Great all-weather handling, car-like ride.
- Tight turning radius.
- Capable AWD system.
- Good crash-test ratings.
- Excellent all-around visibility.
- Decent ground clearance, low center of gravity.
- Standard integrated roof rails.

A used Subaru Impreza Turbo though, has to be in a class of its own, with more than enough power and the four wheel drive system, it provides brilliant stability combined with a fine ride.

The reliability of both new and used Subaru outback makes them quite valuable. A good number of used Subarus drive their automobiles over two-hundred-thousand miles – which is a pure evidence of the durable feature of this Japanese car brand. If you are on budget and cannot afford new Subaru Outback, used Subaru outback will serve you well. However, before you start making plans for the purchase, you need to find out about used subaru liberty. If your intention is to buy used Subaru Outback that has high mileage; here are tips to help you;

• Ensure that you check the vehicle’s timing belt; timing belts are very essential for Subaru Outback. Once these timing belts are gone, your engines are gone too. It is easy to identify the timing belts of Subaru Outback vehicles; they are usually placed on the engine’s side. Ensure that you avoid used Subaru outback with heavily worn or cracked timing belts.

• Another way to investigate the suitability of the used Outback is to check for coolant or oil leaks, especially around the head gaskets. If there’s a sign of oil residues within these locations, this may be a sign of problem on the head gasket. This problem is prevalent in higher mileage Subaru vehicles and such problem is usually cost-intensive when trying to repair it. Even overheating is a typical sign of head gasket issues.

• When buying a used Subaru Outback, endeavour to check anything possible, including the Check Engine Light. The best way to check whether or not the Check Engine Light is working is to start the car. Some Subaru brands may show signs of emissions systems issues as well as catalytic converters problems.

• You also need to check the vehicle’s Anti-Lock Brake System. Do this by using your foot to pump the brake pedal of the Subaru Outback from the driver’s seat – you have to do this with the ignition turned off. If the Anti-Lock Brake System is functioning optimally, depressing the pedal would get harder.

In 1989, Subaru, a family car manufacturer, discovered that rallying would be an exceptional way to prove its all–wheel-drive technology. The company worked on it and the result was good. The growth was very rapid. Some modifications on the Subaru Legacy resulted in a rally car that won three consecutive British rally championships.

Later they developed a World Rally Championship car (WRC) too. After winning three manufacturing and two driving championships, the Impreza WRX, Richard Burns and Colin became the icons of rallying.

Subaru Impreza is an excellent family car. But this vehicle is sometimes overpowered by other nameplates because of its higher range of pricing. Recently this vehicle was identified by the customers for its distinctive power train and all-wheel-drive technology. Now this has become a favorable choice of the customers.

The all wheel or 4X4 drive technology provides the wheels extra traction on slippery roads, and assures safety for the customers. The high horse power and four cylindered engine models give extra growl during high acceleration.

Furthermore, this new model car offers a four door hatchback. It has the European feel more in the design. This sport model car is equipped with a 2.5 liter horizontally opposed cylinder engine that is 170 horsepower. The 2.5 GT models have a turbocharged engine with 224 hp and 226 lb-ft torque. The engine powers all the four wheels through a standard system.

The 2.5i is well equipped with full power accessories like keyless entry, four speaker stereo and good cruise control. It has a slightly elevated suspension for better ground clearance and has alloy wheels. Apart from the turbo engine, it includes large wheels with firm suspension. It also features automatic climate control and a sunroof with heated front seats. It is also specialized with suspension tuning which increases the handling ability.

Manufacturing the Imperza WRC takes more than 1600 man hours. The car is tested by 70 technicians and again tested on sports tracks for many hours to ensure its working condition.

Especially Impreza WRX is big in Rally race fun. SUBARU has the special team for rally race. The team was historically an extremely strong one, competing in the WRC longer than any other manufacturer team in their current form.
